- How long does cabinet refinishing take?
- A typical kitchen runs about five to seven working days from masking to reassembly. Your kitchen stays largely usable throughout — counters and appliances stay in place while doors and drawer fronts are finished.
- Can oak cabinets be painted smooth?
- Oak has open grain that shows through paint unless it's addressed. If you want a smooth, grain-free look, that requires additional filling and sanding — we'll show you the difference and quote it clearly rather than surprise you later.
- Is refinishing cheaper than replacing cabinets?
- Refinishing typically costs a fraction of new cabinetry because you keep the existing boxes and layout. It only makes sense when the boxes are sound — if they're water damaged or the layout doesn't work, we'll tell you replacement is the better spend.
- What finish do you use on cabinets?
- We use waterborne cabinet enamels applied with spray equipment. They level out smooth and cure much harder than wall paint, which is what kitchen doors and drawer fronts need.
- When can we use the kitchen normally again?
- Doors and drawers go back on once the finish can be handled safely. The coating continues hardening for a period afterwards, so we give you specific guidance on being gentle with the surfaces during that window.
- Can you change hardware and hinges at the same time?
- Yes. New pulls, knobs, and hinges are commonly installed during reassembly. If the new hardware needs different hole spacing, we handle filling and drilling as part of the work.
